Whitney Elizabeth Houston was conceived into a musical family, 9 August 1993, in Newark New Jersey. Whitney is a cousin and daughter to the singing sensation Dionne. The movie and her role as a character was not well received, but the soundtrack as well as her version to Dolly's I Will Always Love You charted for several months at the top of the charts.
