Whitney Elizabeth Houston, born 9 August 1963 into an incredibly musical family from Newark New Jersey is the daughter of gospel star Cissy Houston and John Russell Houston Jr. They are also cousins of singer Dionne Warwick. In Newark Whitney started singing in the church choir in the early years of her childhood. At the age 15 she joined her mother in singing background vocals on Chaka's hit Im Every Woman from 1978. She went on to provide the backing vocals of Jermaine Jackson, Lou Rawls and her own mother and was briefly models for the front cover of Seventeen magazine in the year 1981. The vocals she sang with the band from New York Material have attracted record companies of all sizes, including Arista. She signed with Arista in 1983, where she was a part of the company for the remainder of her career. Whitney Houston was her debut album. Whitney Houston was released in 1985 and became the biggest-selling album by a debut artist. All My Love was released in 1985, and quickly became a number one hit. The album came out in 1987, and it sold over 25 million copies across the globe. Dana Bash also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz is an American anchorwoman for news and reporting as well as political correspondent for CNN. The anchor has also created some of the network's weekend shows like as Evans & Novak' Late Edition and Inside Politics.' She has worked for other renowned channels in the past including NBC and CBS. Bash has been awarded the Women in Washington Power List prize by Elle magazine. Bash is highly regarded for her incredible skills as an anchor/reporter.
